My Lamora Beauty
These Terms of Service govern your use of the My Lamora Beauty website and your purchase of goods from us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
About us
My Lamora Beauty is an online beauty and personal care retailer operating in the United Kingdom. All contracts are concluded in English and governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to place an order with us. By ordering, you confirm that you meet these requirements. Certain products may carry additional age restrictions, which will be indicated on the product page.
Products and descriptions
We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours — particularly shades of make-up and colour cosmetics — may appear differently depending on your screen settings, and minor variations in texture, shade or finish may occur between batches. Such variations do not constitute a fault.
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any product from sale at any time.
Product use and suitability
Our products are cosmetic products intended for external use only, unless expressly stated otherwise. You must:
- Read and follow all instructions, warnings and directions supplied with the product
- Carry out a patch test before first use, particularly if you have sensitive skin or known allergies
- Check the ingredient listing where you have a known allergy or intolerance
- Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs
- Keep products out of reach of children
- Observe the period-after-opening symbol and any expiry date shown on the packaging
Information provided on our website is for general guidance only and does not constitute medical or dermatological advice. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are undergoing medical treatment, seek professional advice before use.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable at the prevailing UK rate. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order.
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If we discover a pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you at the email address you provided to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order. Where we cannot reach you, we will treat the order as cancelled and refund you in full.
Placing an order
- Add items to your basket and proceed to checkout.
- Enter your delivery and payment details.
- Review your order and confirm.
- You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order.
The acknowledgement email does not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order, including where the product is unavailable, we cannot obtain authorisation for payment, or we identify a pricing or description error.
We also reserve the right to limit order quantities where we reasonably suspect an order has been placed for commercial resale.
Payment
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is taken in pounds sterling at the point of order. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
Delivery
Delivery arrangements, timescales and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full.
Your right to cancel
Consumers in the United Kingdom have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please note that sealed cosmetic and personal care products cannot be returned once the seal has been broken, for health and hygiene reasons. Full details are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires goods to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Acceptable use of our website
You agree not to:
- Use our website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or any connected network
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms or other malicious material
- Copy, reproduce or redistribute our content without written permission
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract data from our site
- Submit false, misleading or defamatory content, including in product reviews
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our site where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
Reviews and user content
Where you submit a review or other content to our website, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content in connection with our business. You confirm that the content is your own, is truthful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, product photography and page design — is owned by or licensed to My Lamora Beauty and is protected by UK and international copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only.
Accounts
Where you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@mylamorabeauty.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.
We are not liable for business losses. Our products are supplied for domestic and private use only. If you use the goods for any commercial or business purpose, we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of a product otherwise than in accordance with the instructions and warnings supplied.
Where we are liable, our total liability will not exceed the total price paid for the goods concerned.
Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure results from events outside our reasonable control, including strikes, extreme weather, transport disruption, failure of public networks, government action or acts of God. Where such an event occurs, we will contact you and either extend the delivery timescale or, if the delay is substantial, allow you to cancel and receive a full refund.
Complaints and dispute resolution
We aim to resolve all complaints quickly and fairly. Please contact us in the first instance at contact@mylamorabeauty.com and we will respond within 5 working days.
If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider. You may also contact Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 for free, impartial guidance.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
